January TBRs/ 2016 goals

With 2015 falling behind us and 2016 just around the corner it is time to prepare our January TBRs and out 2016 goals.

January TBRs:

  • Everything Everything by: Nicola Yoon
  • Shatter me by: Tahereh Mafi
  • City of Ashes by : Cassandra Clare

It isn’t many books but I hope to finish them all!

2016 Goals:

I have a couple goals for 2016 that are pretty simple! I hope to read 24 books so at least 2 each month, finish the Mortal Instruments (I’m one book in 😂), and finally reread Harry Potter!!

Do those seem like reasonable goals? I think they are! Sorry this post is so short, but there isn’t really much to write!

Book review: Fairest By: Marissa Meyer

How do I start! I really loved The lunar chronicles so when my parents got this for me for Christmas I was so excited I stared it right away! I have always wanted to learn more about Levana so this was so great! It also showed me that she had more of a soul than I originally thought. All of the things she did throughout the whole series was just for the good of Luna and not (Entirely) for herself. Even if trying to murder your niece is a bit much for power. This is most definitely a book with reading if you like Dystopian Sci-fi! But I do suggest reading it before Winter because there is a lot of backstory that would have been helpful to read about. Overall this is a great book and worth the money!!

Book review: The 5th wave By: Rick Yancey

What do i say first…

AMAZING!!!!!! I absolutely LOVED this book! The story about how the aliens came to take over earth was something i’ve never read about! To be honest i’ve always had a fear of the apocalypse (Like Zombies and stuff) so this book kind of scared me.

But to begin with, i really like how Rick made it so throughout the book it had different perspectives. I’ve always like books with multiple views because it give more than one side to the story.

One of the things that i can’t get over is the relationship between Evan and Cassie. They were so CUTE and how Evan as far as i know DIED for Cassie. It just showed that even if Cassie Knew he wasn’t a human he chose him over BEN who she has liked for a long time.

I know this review was short but i didn’t know what to write without spoiling it. So sorry for that. Hope everyone is having a good day and that your holiday season is going great!!!

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm, probably Divergent because have you seen Theo James (Cause DAMN)

OMG Ryu the wolf from The Lunar Chronicles because he had always loved Winter and seemed like an AMAZING pet1

7) You invite 10 fictional characters to your new years eve party, who do you pick?

  1. Thorne from the Lunar Chronicles
  2. Kai from the Lunar Chronicles
  3. Four from Divergent
  4. Fred/George weasley from Harry Potter

  8. Tris from Divergent
  9. Cinder from the Lunar chronicles
  10. Gale from the Hunger Games

8) What character would make a good santa (Doesn’t have to be appearance, personality counts too)?

Dumbledore, obviously Dumbledore. TBH he is what i thought santa looked like when i was younger.

Book review: Winter By: Marissa Meyer

Rating 10/10

`Where do i begin…. I’M IN TEARS!!! It was just so amazing!!!!! It may have been over 800 pages but Marissa managed to pump the action into every chapter! From romance to action it had EVERYTHING. It takes skill to write romance that fits into action but that is what Marissa did! Cinder and Kai will forever be one of my OTPs.

Something else that i really liked was during the climax, we learned more about Levana. Along with have some time in her point of view was pretty cool.

Finally, my favorite part of this book and this whole series is how Marissa connected the books to the fairytales they are based on. I have always liked Fairytales and dystopian novels so this is a GREAT combination.

After this long series i am so upset that it is over, at least i still have fairest to read! If you need me i’ll be rocking in a corner crying.
