August TBR

Hello everyone! Then end of the summer is sadly getting closer but that doesn’t mean that reading should stop! I wasn’t able to finish any books this month but i got through most of a couple. That is the main reason why my TBR is so long (Also some of these books are required for school). So here they are!!!

  • A long way gone by: Ishmael Beah
  • Lord of the Flies by: William Golding
  • City of Bones by: Cassandra Clare
  • Outlander by: Diana Gabaldon
  • The Last Star by: Rick Yancey

Of course there is always the possibility I won’t get through all of these but I really think I will! Once again thank you so much for checking out my blog!! If you would like to see more you can follow or check out my Instagram @Bloggingbooknerd!!

For every book I review!!

Are you doing a Reading Challenge?

Yes I am!! Since i’m still in High School and play softball I can’t read as much as I would like. So my Goal is to read 30 books this year.

Do you have a wishlist?

Not really

What book do you plan to buy next?

I never really plan to buy a book, I just kinda get them.

Do you have any favorite quotes, would you like to share a few?

I personally don’t have many favorite quotes, I just either don’t like any or love all of them.

What do you think that Goodreads could do better?

I personally think that Goodreads is pretty good the way it is! But I kinda wish that they had the option to rate a book half stars because sometimes books are 5 stars but they also aren’t 4 stars.

Well that is all for now! I hope you liked this Tag and I Tag ALL OF YOU to do it!! If you liked what you see but sure to follow because I post quite often!! Also check out my Instagram @BloggingBookNerd!!!

Book Review: The Art of Racing in the Rain by: Garth Stein

As summer vacation is finally upon me, my reading and post will become more steady! So today i’m going to review The Art of Racing in the Rain by: Garth Stein. This was actually an early birthday present so i was happy to read it.

spoilers

Being a young adult I don’t usually venture out of my comfort zone when it comes to books but sense this was a gift I knew i had to read it! Boy was it a good choice. This book which is told from the perspective of a dog named Enzo is him retelling his life on his death bed. There are so many ups and downs, parts that make me laugh and cry. It’s all I could ask for in a contemporary book. It’s amazing to see how a dog can tell his story better than most humans.

Not including all of the story telling parts, this story is really never boring. The author did a great job spreading out the intense parts so that you are always on edge. I don’t want to spoil too too much so i won’t go into detail about all of those intense parts.

All in all it is a great book but more mature for some of you younger readers. Thank you so much for reading this review and i hope you will check out more of my stuff! Once again sorry that i have been so absent recently I have been really busy.
